VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Tuesday that the club has signed Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) forward Cyprian Kachwele to an MLS short-term agreement for the Canadian Championship quarterfinal first leg at Cavalry FC. This marks the first time Kachwele has been signed to an MLS short-term agreement.

Kachwele, 19, has started four of his seven appearances in his first season with WFC2. The Tanzanian forward is tied for the team-lead in goals with three and was part of the first team's preseason training camp in Marbella, Spain earlier this year.
Prior to joining WFC2, Kachwele played for Tanzanian side Azam FC, splitting time between the first team and the U-20 side.
At the international level, Kachwele was part of Tanzania's roster for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
