PHILADELPHIA, PA
- Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite graduate Nicole Setterlund was selected by Chicago Red Stars with the 27th overall pick in the 2015 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft on Friday.

"We've had great success developing players who have gone on to terrific collegiate careers. It's very exciting to see Nicole's hard work recognized."
Setterlund is a graduate of the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite program, while also playing for the Prospects team that won the Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) Women's Premier Division regular season and cup titles in 2010. The native of Surrey, BC, later played with Whitecaps FC in the United Soccer Leagues (USL) W-League, appearing in 11 matches in 2012.
Most recently, Setterlund spent four years playing National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) soccer at Washington State University. The young midfielder started every match in which she appeared (78) during her four-year career at Washington State. Part of a senior class that led the Cougars to an unprecedented four-straight NCAA Championship appearances, Setterlund is a two-time NSCAA All-Pacific Region Second Team and two-time All-Pac-12 Conference Second Team honoree.
