VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite midfielder Jeneva Hernandez Gray has earned her second call-up to Canada Soccer’s women’s national team.
The 18-year-old joins three other Whitecaps FC Girls Elite graduates on the roster, including defender Jayde Riviere, and midfielders Julia Grosso and Emma Regan. Whitecaps FC Girls Elite head coach Katie Collar will once again join Canada's coaching staff.
Canada will travel to Murcia, Spain, for a pair of international friendlies during the November FIFA international window. The team will face 13th-ranked Iceland on Friday, November 29, followed by 19th-rankded Korea Republic on Tuesday, December 3. Both matches will be played at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain.
The 2024 season was another year of achievements for the product of Coquitlam, BC. In League1 BC, Hernandez Gray was named Top Midfielder, Young Player of the Year, and Player of the Year as the 'Caps won both the regular season and playoff titles. She then helped the club win a second straight League1 Canada Inter-Provincial title, and started four matches as the squad made a historic run in the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup.
The talented midfielder was first called up to the senior national team as a 17-year-old in December 2023, taking part in camp as Canada faced Australia twice, first in Langford, BC and then at BC Place in Vanouver.
Hernandez Gray has previously represented Canada at the U-15, U-17, and U-20 national team levels, playing at the 2022 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India and the 2024 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia.

The Friday, November 29 match against Iceland will kick off at 10:00 a.m. PT, and the Tuesday, December 3 match against Korea Republic will kick off at 9:00 a.m. PT.

Joining the midfield are Marie-Yasmine Alidou from SL Benfica, Simi Awujo from Manchester United FC, Jessie Fleming from Portland Thorns FC, Julia Grosso from Chicago Red Stars, Jeneva Hernandez Gray from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and Emma Regan from HB Køge.
Rounding out the squad are forwards Janine Beckie from Racing Louisville FC, Adriana Leon from Aston Villa WFC, Nichelle Prince from Kansas City Current, Deanne Rose from Leicester City FC, Nyah Rose from Southern Methodist University, and Olivia Smith from Liverpool FC, and Evelyne Viens from AS Roma. 
Kadeisha Buchanan from Chelsea FC, Sydney Collins from NC Courage, Cloé Lacasse from Utah Royals FC, Quinn from Seattle Reign FC, and Jade Rose from Harvard University were all unavailable for selection due to injury while Jordyn Huitema from Seattle Reign FC was unavailable for selection due to personal reasons.
