Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the launch of registration for the 2015 Whitecaps FC Showcase presented by Sport Chek, the sixth annual edition of the tournament. The event will once again take place over Easter weekend, from April 3 to 5 at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey, BC.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for coaches and managers to get their players and teams noticed,” said Whitecaps FC director of soccer development Dan Lenarduzzi. “In addition to the many college coaches and scouts from Canada and the United States on hand, we will also have senior Whitecaps FC Residency and Girls Elite coaching staff scouting matches.”
Up to 100 elite youth soccer teams are expected to attend, including every team in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL), as well as top clubs from across Canada and from Washington and Oregon in the United States.
Canada’s top professional club showcase will again welcome college and university coaches and scouts from across North America to find talent for their programs.
As part of the weekend, feature matches will take place including Whitecaps FC U-18, U-16, and U-14 boys Residency teams, as well as the U-18 Girls Elite squad.
Adding to the event will be a planned Whitecaps FC Major League Soccer (MLS) match at BC Place, as well as scheduled Whitecaps FC player visits to Newton Athletic Park. More information regarding the MLS match will be available once the MLS schedule is released.
New additions this year include Collegiate Education workshops for parents and players, and All-Star Team selections at each age level.
