VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Ranko Veselinović has been called up to Serbia's men’s national team for an upcoming FIFA International friendly against the United States.
Veselinović will be joining his national team for the match, which will be played on Wednesday, January 25 at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT.

This marks the second time Veselinović has been called up to Serbia’s senior national team, having previously started an international friendly against Dominican Republic in January 2021. In his youth, the defender represented Serbia at the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 levels.
Veselinović tallied a team-high 34 starts and appearances across all competitions in 2022, finishing the season as the league leader in clearances during the MLS regular season. All-time, the native of Novi Sad, Serbia has started 74 of his 81 appearances across all competitions for the ‘Caps, recording two goals and three assists.
