VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Fafa Picault has been called up to Haiti's men's national team for upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches in September.
First up, Haiti face Puerto Rico on Friday, September 6 at Estadio Centroamericano de Mayagüez in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, with kickoff set for 5 p.m. PT.
Picault and his country will then face Sint Maarten on Monday, September 9, with kickoff is set for 2 p.m. PT. The match will also take place at Estadio Centroamericano de Mayagüez.
Picault will miss the 'Caps MLS regular season home match against FC Dallas on Saturday, September 7.
Born to Haitian parents, Picault has made eight appearances with the national team, with whom he has gone on to play with at the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup and Concacaf Nations League. Picault also made two appearances for the United States men’s national team in 2016 and 2018 before filing a one-time switch to play for Haiti.
This season, Picault has recorded nine goals and five assists since joining Whitecaps FC back in January, starting 15 of his 27 appearances across all competitions.
