VANCOUVER, BC – Whitecaps FC 2 return home this Sunday, August 20 as they play their third match of the season at BC Place, hosting Western Conference rivals Austin FC II in the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. PT.
- Tickets are complimentary for Whitecaps FC MLS season ticket members, or $10 online. All youth 18 and under get free access to the match. Season Ticket Members need to get tickets through Universe and use their account number as their access key at checkout.
Sunday will see the 'Caps host their third doubleheader at BC Place, with the first team in action later in the day against San Jose Earthquakes at 7:30 p.m. PT.

HOME SWEET HOME: After three consecutive away matches, Whitecaps FC 2 return home to face Austin FC II in their match at BC Place this season. The young 'Caps have claimed points in eight of their home matches in 2023, scoring 16 goals and claiming four clean sheets. Meanwhile, Sunday's matchup will mark the second meeting of the season between the two teams, with Austin claiming a narrow 1-0 win back in June.
MAKING MOVES: WFC2 announced four new signings on August 3, acquiring Gambian defender Dembo Saidykhan, Tunisian midfielder Malek Mehri, Canadian midfielder Malcolm Simmons, and Tanzanian forward Cyprian Kachwele. All four players signed MLS NEXT Pro contracts through 2024. Simmons made his debut last weekend against Houston Dynamo FC 2 and will once again be available for selection against Austin FC II. In addition, midfielder Vasco Fry was sent out on loan to Canadian Premier League side Vancouver FC through to the end of the 2023 season.
