BACK AT SWANGARD: After capturing their first win of the season against Cascadia rivals Tacoma Defiance on the road last weekend, WFC2 return to Swangard Stadium in the first of two straight home matches. The last time the 'Caps were at Swangard they played to a thrilling stoppage time comeback against Timbers 2 on the back of two goals from midfielder Owen Antoniuk.
SQUAD DEPTH: Through the opening four matches of the season, 22 of the 19 players on the WFC2 roster have made appearances for the side, with nine of those players tallying goal contributions.
SERIES HISTORY: While this is the first match between the Whitecaps FC and Sporting KC second teams in MLS NEXT Pro, the two clubs did face off in USL five times from 2016 to 2017, when the KC side was known as Swope Park Rangers. WFC2 won the first two matches, but SKC took the next three as the 'Caps record versus their opponents stands at 2W-3L-0D including playoffs.
