VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that defender Will Seymore has been added to the Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) roster in the United Soccer League (USL). Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Will is a versatile and athletic player and also a good passer," said WFC2 head coach Alan Koch. “He can play as a central defender and as a defensive midfielder. He has a desire to get better and I am excited to see how he embraces the opportunity.”

• Four-year starter at Oregon State University
• 2014 All-Pac-12 Second Team and All-Far West Region Second Team
Seymore, 23, was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado but spent much of his childhood in the United Kingdom. At OSU, Seymore started in all of his 73 appearances, tallying seven goals and four assists for the Beavers. As a senior, he was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and the All-Far West Region Second Team as he helped the Corvallis, Oregon-based side reach the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in 2014.
In between his college seasons, Seymore played three years with Portland Timbers U-23 in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), making 24 appearances from 2012 to 2014 and scoring one goal. After finishing college, Seymore was selected 56th overall by FC Dallas in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, but did not sign with the team.
In his youth, the English-American played four years for the Soham Town Rangers, winning the Cambridgeshire League Championship in 2009.
On the international level, the 6-foot centre back was invited to the England U-18 schoolboys trials.
