VANCOUVER, BC – Whitecaps FC announced on Saturday that nine players have been loaned from the club’s Major League Soccer (MLS) side to Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) ahead of Sunday's United Soccer League regular season match against Arizona United SC at 2 p.m. PT. Tickets remain available for Sunday's match at whitecapsfc.com/wfc2tickets.
The list of loaned players includes goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi, centre backs Christian Dean, Tim Parker, Diego Rodriguez, right back Ethen Sampson, midfielders Kianz Froese, Ben McKendry, Nicolás Mezquida, and striker Caleb Clarke.
Players on loan to USL may compete for both the USL and MLS sides over the course of the season, and will be made available to USL on a week-to-week basis.
