On December 14, Whitecaps FC hosted the Super 7 Invitational presented by Farris at the Arbutus Meadows Arena based Whitecaps FC official Island Indoor Academy Centre. Select U-10 and U-11-aged boys and girls participated in the one-day seven aside tournament.
Earlier this year, Whitecaps FC also held the Super 8 Invitational presented by Farris at the Whitecaps FC Regional Team Training Centre at Simon Fraser University. This was a two-day eight aside tournament for select U-11 and U-12-aged boys and girls.
Both the Super 7 and Super 8 Invitationalare by invite only and are free for all those attending. These tournaments are made up of 16 teams, four in each bracket, giving young players the opportunity to showcase their talent. Many players from the ’Caps Residency program have participated in these tournaments.
Sam Lenarduzzi, alongside representatives from Whitecaps FC’s Residency program were also on hand scouting the event.
