VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Wednesday that Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) will play their Friday, August 25 MLS NEXT Pro match against North Texas SC at BC Place. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. PT.
WFC2 tickets can be purchased through Universe, priced at only $10. Season ticket members can access their complimentary tickets by using their account number as their access key at checkout. Youth 18 and under get in free.
The August 25 match will be the fourth at BC Place for WFC2, including this coming Sunday, August 20 at 2 p.m. PT in a doubleheader with the MLS match against San Jose Earthquakes at 7:30 p.m. PT.
WFC2 provides a pathway for up-and-coming talent to the first team. In only the second year of MLS NEXT Pro, the ‘Caps have already seen players such as Ali Ahmed, Simon Becher, and Levonte Johnson signed to first team contracts, and make meaningful contributions. Ahmed starred for Canada’s men’s national team at this year’s Concacaf Gold Cup, Becher set an MLS record as the fastest player in league history to score his first four goals, and Johnson started for Whitecaps FC in the 2023 Canadian Championship final win over CF Montreal.
