Vancouver Whitecaps FC Homegrown goalkeeper Thomas Hasal was named to the MLS Team of the Week on Monday for Week 2.
The Homegrown product of the Whitecaps FC BMO MLS Academy put in a fantastic performance at BC Place, recording four saves to keep a clean sheet in a 0-0 result against defending MLS Cup champions New York City FC. It was Hasal's fourth career clean sheet, including the MLS is Back tournament knockout round match against Sporting Kansas City, when he was also named to the MLS Team of the Week.
Next up for Hasal and the 'Caps is a road match at Houston Dynamo FC this coming Saturday, March 12. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. PT live on TSN and AM730 radio. The next home match will be on Saturday, April 2 against Sporting Kansas City at 5 p.m. PT. For tickets go to whitecapsfc.com/tickets.
