Kid Captain

Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Jazmin Thurston from Special Olympics BC as Kid Captain for Saturday’s Leagues Cup match against Club Tijuana.

Port Moody’s Jazmin Thurston is a young lady that loves her family, her dogs, and her friends. She enjoys cooking and eating but most of all, sports! Jazmin is extremely competitive and loves to win, just like Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Special Olympics BC has provided Jazmin with opportunities to chase her sporting goals since she was 10-years-old. Her sports are soccer, softball, swimming, and 10-pin bowling. Jazmin is also very active in mixed martial arts, lacrosse, hockey, basketball, and any sport with physical contact.

Please join in welcoming Jazmin to the match!

Supporters of the Match

Saturday's Supporters of the Match are Dean & Shirley Neibel from the Prawnsiders. They have been supporters since 1977. Theu favourite memory is the 1979 playoff game against the New York Comos at Empire Stadium, as well as Alphonso Davies final match. Their favourite part about being in a supporters group is the community to support the 'Caps - the Prawnside is the best place to be!
