Spectator Information: 'Caps look to advance to third straight TELUS Canadian Championship Final

Voyageurs Cup at BC Place

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC will look to advance to a third consecutive TELUS Canadian Championship Final when they host Canadian Premier League (CPL) side Pacific FC in the second leg of the semifinals on Tuesday.

The 'Caps currently hold a 1-0 lead on aggregate from the first leg. This will be the first time since 1990 that the club hosts another professional team from British Columbia when the Vancouver 86ers played the Victoria Vistas.

The winner will host the 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship Final on Wednesday, September 25.

Cup competition

  • Whitecaps FC enter the second leg with a 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Langford
  • A win or draw would see the 'Caps advance
  • A 1-0 win for Pacific FC would take the series to a deciding shootout
  • Should the CPL side win by two or more goals, or win by one while scoring at least two goals, they would win the series outright

For the best stadium entry experience, Whitecaps FC and BC Place recommend fans do not bring a bag to the stadium.

Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Sarah Shishido from Down Syndrome Recourse Foundation as Kid Captain for Tuesday's Canadian Championship home match against Pacific FC.

Sarah is a thriving, busy 16-year-old with Down syndrome. She excels in her studies, enjoys dancing, swimming, playing baseball, and is enthusiastic about music. Sarah is determined, dedicated and approaches everything with a cheerful outlook. She volunteers at her school, providing lunches for the homeless, and contributing to her community. As a sports fan, she loves cheering for her favorite teams and is a keen supporter. Spending time with family and friends is a priority and treasured time for Sarah. She also loves traveling and would like to see as much of the globe as she can. As an individual with Down syndrome, Sarah is enthusiastic about reaching her full potential and living her best life.

Tuesday's supporter of the match is Sabrina D'Amato from the Sisters.

Sabrina has been a supporter all her life, and a Whitecaps FC season member for 10 years, loving every minute. Her favourite 'Caps memory is winning the 2022 Canadian Championship against Toronto FC, recalling the atmosphere and crowd as unreal!

Her favourite part about being in the Sisters supporters group is that everyone can be their authentic selves and share in the same passion to support the 'Caps! She is also looking forward to welcoming Vancouver Rise FC in 2025!
