CANADIAN RIVALRY: Vancouver Whitecaps FC will look to continue their road form on Saturday as they face Canadian rivals Toronto FC at BMO Field. The last meeting between the two sides came in the 2022 Canadian Championship Final, with the Blue and White claiming a 5-3 shootout win after drawing 1-1 in regulation. The 'Caps are unbeaten in their last four meetings against Toronto (2W-0L-2D) and also hold a 3W-0L-2D record against Eastern Conference opposition this season.
ON A ROLL: Over the past six MLS matches, the 'Caps have tallied 13 points with a record of 4W-1L-1D. The Blue and White are currently tied with Orlando for the most points in that span, but sit first in the league thanks to goal differential. In addition, the 'Caps have found themselves in form on the road. The team sits in a tie for first in MLS in most points accumulated across their last five road matches with 10, posting a record of 3W-1L-1D.
GAULDEN RUN: Ryan Gauld has been one of the most in-form players in the league over the last three months. Against Chicago Fire FC, the Scotsman became the ‘Caps all-time leader in MLS assists with 23 and extended his recent run to 11 goals and nine assists in his past 15 appearances across all competitions with his game-tying goal against NYCFC at Yankee Stadium. He also continues to lead MLS in goal contributions since May 31 with 17 (10 goals, seven assists).
