Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Lucas Cavallini was named Canada Soccer's Men's Player of the Month for July on Tuesday.
Cavallini, 29, tallied two goals across five starts and six appearances during the month of July, helping the 'Caps claim victory in the 2022 Canadian Championship Final against Toronto to secure their second Voyageurs Cup in their history.
Cavallini and the rest of the 'Caps will look to begin the month of August on the right foot, as they host fellow Western Conference side Houston Dynamo FC this Friday, August 5 at BC Place, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
