KAMLOOPS, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy finished their regular season-winning campaign with another big win on Sunday, taking a 6-0 victory over Rivers FC in Kamloops.
Kierra Blundell finished her golden boot season with her 10th goal, set up by Sienna Gibson, to make it 1-0 after 25 minutes.
Aja Turner then made it 2-0 on 35 minutes, following a header from Blundell. It was 3-0 going into halftime, as Turner scored her second of the match three minutes later from Noelle Sather.
Goals in the second half came from Joy Kimwemwe, from Sadie Brisbin, Iba Oching from a corner after a header from Kaylee Hunter, and finally one from Hunter herself set up by Keelyn Stewart.
The 'Caps now head into the playoffs, where they will host fourth place TSS Rovers this weekend (date and time TBA).
