Canada Soccer has officially added left back Cristián Gutiérrez to the roster for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, joining Vancouver Whitecaps FC teammates Maxime Crépeau and Lucas Cavallini on the 23-man squad.
Gutiérrez will remain training and playing MLS matches with Whitecaps FC unless called upon for Canada.
The Red & White are back in action on Thursday, July 15 against Haiti, then wrap up Group B on Sunday, July 18 against the hosts United States. Should Canada advance as one of the top two teams in their group, the quarterfinals will take place on July 24 and 25, the semifinals on July 29, and the final on August 1.
Canada opened their tournament with a 4-1 win over Martinique on Sunday.
