Vancouver Whitecaps FC are in the playoffs after a 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC, preceded by a 1-1 draw at Los Angeles FC. Both Maxime Crépeau and Ryan Gauld were recognized in the Week 35 MLS Team of the Week for their performances.
Crépeau made four saves to help keep Seattle at bay, including a crucial late stop in the box. Against LAFC he had 10 saves to earn the point.
This is the the fifth MLS Team of the Week for the 'Caps keeper this season. The others came in Week 4 in a 2-0 win over CF Montreal, Week 21 in a 2-1 win over LAFC on the return to BC Place, Week 27 in a 1-0 win over FC Dallas, and Week 28 in a 0-0 draw at Houston Dynamo FC.
Gauld, who made his 13th MLS start and 18th appearance versus Seattle, scored his fourth goal in league play on a first half header. In the previous match versus LAFC, he supplied an assist on the 'Caps goal from Cristian Dájome.
The Scottish midfielder also makes his fifth appearance in the MLS Team of the Week after four straight nods from Week 20 to Week 23.
