After a positive overall performance from Cavallini, this match could be the catalyst for him to kickstart his season, but he must keep his discipline.
And having Brian White back would be a big boost for this team. He has proven that he’s a genuine scoring threat for the Whitecaps.
Going to Gauld
The ‘Caps will be wanting to break forward quicker.
Ryan Gauld needs to be the focal point for balls playing out the back.
He will be key to breaking through Houston’s back four, who have only conceded one goal so far.
Defensively sound
Last Saturday’s clean sheet was a better response from the ‘Caps after their opening match.
They will need to be defensively as good as they were in the second half against NYCFC.
This was a key component of the turnaround last year.
