Canada's Men's National Team maintained their first place status in Concacaf FIFA World Cup Qualifying with a 2-0 victory over Honduras at the Olímpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Canada opened the scoring early, as Tajon Buchanan dribbled past his opposing defender to whip in a dangerous ball into the box, which deflected off Honduras defender Denil Maldonado and into the back of the net.
Fast forward to the second half, Canada would double their lead thanks to a wonderful chip from Jonathan David off a pin-point, over the top ball from Liam Fraser.
Next up for Canada is a home match against the United States this Sunday, January 30 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. You can catch the match live on Sportsnet and OneSoccer, with kick-off set for 12:05 p.m. PT.
