VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC striker Brian White has been called up to the United States men's national team for their March international window, the federation confirmed on Tuesday.
White will join the USMNT for two Concacaf Nations League matches. The US will face Panama in the semifinal on March 20 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California at 4 p.m. PT. The other semifinal match features Canada and Mexico with the winners set to square off March 23 for the championship.
The U.S. players will begin reporting on March 16 to Los Angeles and as a result White will miss the 'Caps MLS regular season home match against Chicago Fire FC on March 22 at BC Place.
This marks White’s third call-up to the USMNT’s January camp and he is one of six MLS-based players who were part of the 2025 January Camp to receive the call for the March matches. White is also one of three players, along with Patrick Agyemang and Diego Luna, who will take part in their first USMNT camp during a FIFA international window and for an official competition.
The forward earned his first cap for his country during the 2024 camp, as he started and played 62 minutes in an international friendly against Slovenia, then earlier this year, he made his second start in an international friendly against Costa Rica. The 'Caps MLS era leading goalscorer scored his first international goal in the match, as the United States cruised to a 3-0 victory.
In 2025, the highest-scoring American in MLS for the last two seasons has already scored three goals in five starts and six appearances across all competitions, scoring a brace against Deportivo Saprissa in Concacaf Champions Cup play and scoring the game-winner against LA Galaxy on March 2 in MLS action.
Last season, White enjoyed another record-breaking campaign with Whitecaps FC. Across all competitions, the product of Flemington, New Jersey tallied 16 goals, as well as three assists, in 41 starts and 44 appearances. White also made history as he became the club’s leading goalscorer across all competitions in the MLS era with his clever finish at New York Red Bulls on April 27. White currently sits at 58 goals since joining the club in 2021.
The USMNT continues their new era in 2025 under former Tottenham Hotspur FC, Paris Saint Germain, and Chelsea FC head coach Mauricio Pochettino, as they prepare to host the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico.
