VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday the roster updates for Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) ahead of the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season. A total of six players are under contract for next year.
Whitecaps FC 2 Roster Updates:
- WFC2 exercised the 2025 contract option for Finn Linder
- Liam Mackenzie is under contract through 2026
- Antoine Coupland, Mihail Gherasimencov, Cyprian Kachwele, and Dembo Saidykhan have been re-signed to new contracts
- WFC2 declined the 2025 contract options for Eliot Goldthorp, Jay Herdman, Malek Mehri, Myles Morgan, Joshué Ndakala, Malcolm Simmons, and Buster Sjöberg
- Darko Ilić is out of contract
- Jeevan Badwal and Nicolas Fleuriau Chateau have signed MLS contracts with the first team

Last season, 19 different BMO MLS Academy players were called up to WFC2 for MLS NEXT Pro matches.
Since their inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro in 2022, the club has signed five players from WFC2 to the first team roster and a total of 43 MLS short-term agreements have been signed for first team matches.
