Key Programs

Soccer Pitch Revitalization

We provide grants or in-kind support to communities and soccer organizations to revitalize and refresh existing soccer pitches throughout BC. Eligible projects may include minor pitch upgrades, new equipment purchases, (nets, spectator seating, covered player benches), or small capital improvements (refreshing club houses).

Community Soccer Fund - Program Page

Together we support organizations that create opportunities for children and youth to participate in soccer. Grants will align with the club’s priority communities, which include First Nations and Indigenous communities, the Pride community, women and girls, new Canadians, individuals with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.

Beyond the funding support, we provide direct programming support through the club’s First Goals and 'Caps United grassroots programs.

Sustainability  - Program Page

Kids need clean air and clean water to play soccer. Championing greener fields for future generations, the Foundation supports organizations who are protecting our natural environment and advancing sustainable practices, with a focus on environmental rehabilitation, education, and capacity-building programs.

Scholarships - Program Page

Through a collaboration between the Whitecaps FC Alumni, club supporter, Gary Pooni and the Pooni group Foundation, we are pleased to provide youth soccer players with scholarships to pursue their dreams on the pitch and in their post-secondary academic careers.

The first round of scholarship application criteria and intake information will be announced later in 2025. Please follow Whitecaps FC on social media and digital channels for more details.
