VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday that the club has acquired forward Nelson Pierre on loan from Philadelphia Union to Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) in MLS NEXT Pro. Pierre's loan runs through the 2025 season.

- Signed to an MLS Homegrown contract as a 17-year-old in February 2023
- Nine goals and 4 assists in 48 MLS NEXT Pro matches, including 22 starts
- Loans to Swedish side Skövde AIK and USL League One club Charlotte Independence in 2024, registering one USL goal with Charlotte
- Haiti youth international, making three appearances with the U-20 national team
Pierre, 19, most recently spent 2024 on loan at Swedish side Skövde AIK, making three appearances, before being recalled and loaned to USL League One side Charlotte Independence, where he scored one goal in nine appearances.
The forward signed an MLS Homegrown contract with Philadelphia Union in February 2023. Pierre was the first signing for Union II in MLS NEXT Pro, going on to record nine goals and 4 assists over two seasons.
Prior to signing with Philadelphia Union II, Pierre spent eight years with the Union Academy, scoring five goals in 11 matches for the Philadelphia Union U17s, and four goals in five matches in the MLS NEXT U17 competition in 2021. He also received an invitation to the United States Youth National Team Regional Identification Center Camp.
On the international level, Pierre has represented the Haiti U-20 national team, making three appearances at the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
