TEXAS-SIZED CLASH: Whitecaps FC 2 hit the road for a first-ever meeting with Austin FC II on Friday, June 9 in a Texas-sized clash at the top of the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference. The Verde and Black, who are playing their inaugural season in the league, have dropped three of their last four matches, while the young 'Caps have claimed victory in three of their last four.
GOALS GALORE: Heading into Friday's match, WFC2 have had goal contributions from 14 different players in their first 12 matches of the season. Leading the way in goals scored is Levonte Johnson with five, while Antoine Coupland and J.C. Ngando lead the assists department with three each. In total, the young 'Caps have scored 23 goals this season, the third-most in the Western Conference.
