THE STRETCH RUN: With nine games remaining in their 2024 MLS NEXT Pro regular season campaign, Whitecaps FC 2 sit fourth in a Western Conference playoff spot with 33 points. In fact, six of WFC2's last nine matches will come at Swangard Stadium. The young 'Caps are coming off a penalty shootout victory over Sporting Kansas City II on the road and are now set to host Colorado Rapids 2 on Wednesday at Swangard.
ACADEMY STEPPING UP: With multiple players away with the first team over the last couple weeks, several Whitecaps FC BMO MLS Academy products have made their recently made their WFC2 and professional debuts. In the match against Real Monarchs on July 27, the young 'Caps had two debutants take to the field in defender Sahai Williams and wingback Elijah Bean. Meanwhile, in the match against Tacoma Defiance on July 14, forward Cristiano Da Silva, forward David Ajagbe, and midfielder Aidan Fong made their WFC2 and professional debuts.
