ROCKY MOUNTAIN CLASH: Whitecaps FC 2 are set to wrap up their six-game road stretch this Sunday as they face Colorado Rapids 2 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The young 'Caps are coming off a thrilling 4-3 away victory over second-placed LAFC2, which saw Cyprian Kachwele score his team-leading fourth goal of the season and Jay Herdman bag a late stoppage time winner to give the side their first road victory of the season. Herdman also notched an assist in the match, moving him into a three-way tie for first in all-time assists during the club's MLS NEXT Pro era.

ACADEMY PROWESS: The last couple weeks have seen a number of Whitecaps FC Academy products make their professional debuts. In the away match against Tacoma Defiance on April 21, forward Johnny Selemani (16 years, one month and five days) became the youngest WFC2 debutant in MLS NEXT Pro, while wingback Luca Chen (16 years, five months, and 16 days) became the second youngest WFC2 debutant. Last week against Portland Timbers2, midfielder Benjamin Lee made his professional debut as a substitute in the second half after seeing regular action with the club's League1 BC team over the last two seasons.
