WEEKLY STORYLINES

THREE FOR THREE: With seven games remaining in their 2024 MLS NEXT Pro regular season campaign, Whitecaps FC 2 will look to continue their push to the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup Playoffs this week as they begin a five-game homestand at Swangard Stadium. First up is a clash against one of the Western Conference's best in Los Angeles FC 2. The young 'Caps will look to go three for three on Sunday after defeating the Black and Gold in both previous meetings this season. The Blue and White claimed a comeback 4-3 victory in California back in May and secured a dominant 4-0 win in June at Swangard.

CHATEAU SHOW: Forward Nicolas Fleuriau Chateau has enjoyed a productive debut season with WFC2. The 22-year-old, who was selected 74th overall by Whitecaps FC in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, has scored in three of the last four matches to bring his season total up to eight, which is tied for the most goals in a single season by a WFC2 player in the MLS NEXT Pro era. With a goal on Sunday, the Canadian would break the record which was previously held by former forward Simon Becher during the club's inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season in 2022. Fleuriau Chateau has also recorded three assists and has started 15 of his 17 appearances in his first season with the club.
