Vancouver Whitecaps FC will host its annual Pride Night match on Saturday night at BC Place. The Whitecaps FC Pride celebration will go from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., ahead of Vancouver’s MLS match against Houston Dynamo, and will be hosted by the unstoppable Conni Smudge. Tickets for the match are still available.
Everybody’s invited to enjoy an evening of soccer and celebration starting with entertainment at Terry Fox Plaza. Arrive early for demonstrations from the Terminal City Roller Girls, Rain City Ultimate Club, Drag Queen Lip Syncing and a b(qu)eer garden with early bird specials.
During the match, Whitecaps FC dignitaries Barb Snelgrove and Angus Praught will lead the boys in Blue and White onto the pitch, with the national anthems sung by Vancouver Pride Singers. Expect interviews by Out TV, a colorfully interactive stadium and complimentary tickets for SOGI youth.
