The contents of a tattoo say a lot about the individual wearing it. Not only are they an expression of art, they’re an expression of a person’s character and values, which explains the rationale behind ‘Caps Ink – a new series that brings you closer to your favourite Whitecaps FC, and WFC2, stars.

On the pitch, Matias Laba is as tough as they come.
You don’t lead the league in tackles, two years in a row, without being willing to get stuck in and mix things up. That’s Laba’s game.
And he’s good at it.
He’s a little softer off the pitch, as evidenced by the tattoo on his right forearm. The tattoo reads, in Arabic: “Claudia, I love you.”
“It means that I am grateful for having my mom and that I always think of her,” Laba told whitecapsfc.com.
There’s nothing wrong with a little simplicity.
That's the only tattoo Laba has at the moment, but he's not done yet. He said the next one will be for his newborn son.
