PROFILE
A midfielder from Surrey, BC, Noah Verhoeven signed his first professional contract with USL affiliate Fresno FC on March 5, 2018. The midfielder originally joined Whitecaps FC Residency in September 2011 after being a member of the club’s Prospects program.

USL
2017: 
Verhoeven made his professional debut with Whitecaps FC 2 on October 7 in a road game against Real Monarchs SLC. He came off the bench to play the final 16 minutes of the 1-1 draw. 

DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
2016-2017
: Verhoeven started 17 of 25 appearances for Whitecap FC U-18 while chipping in with five goals. The midfielder also appeared in two playoff games for the club in the summer.

INTERNATIONAL
Verhoeven debuted for the Canadian national program at their U-15 identification camp in 2013. His most recent stint with the Canadian program came in 2014 at the U-15 camp in Costa Rica under head coach Ante Jazic. In 2017 and 2018, Verhoeven - as a dual-citizen - was called into camp with the United States U-18 and U-20 men's national teams.

VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC PROSPECTS
From 2009 to 2011, Verhoeven was a member of Whitecaps FC Prospects, where he trained under Residency staff coach Bart Choufour.

YOUTH/AMATEUR
The 5-foot-9 prospect started his soccer career with Surrey United Soccer Club from 2007 to 2011. He served as team captain and won a District championship title in the 2009-10 season. In 2009 and 2010, the striker/midfielder also played in the United Summer Soccer League (USSL) for Guru Nanak (GN) Sporting Club in Surrey, BC. From 2007 to 2010, the striker/midfielder also trained in the Total Soccer Systems (TSS) Academy in Richmond, BC. In indoor soccer, Verhoeven won three straight Power Tournament championship titles in Richmond, BC.

PERSONAL
As a student in Surrey, BC, Verhoeven attended Star of the Sea Catholic School from 2004 to 2011. He holds both Canadian and American citizenship.

INTERESTING FACTS
Verhoeven’s favourite team is German notable FC Bayern Munich, while his favourite player is Barcelona and Spanish midfielder, Andres Iniesta. The stadium which he one day hopes to play in is the legendary home of Chelsea FC, Stamford Bridge. Outside of soccer, the utility player enjoys basketball, snowboarding, skateboarding, and listening to music. His favourite food is penne pasta with alfredo sauce.
