WHITECAPS FC
'24: In his first season with the club, Halbouni started four matches and made six appearances across all competitions. The native of London, Ontario made his ‘Caps debut as a substitute in the first leg of the TELUS Canadian Championship semifinals at Pacific FC on July 10 and made his first start for the club in the Leagues Cup 2024 clash at LAFC on July 30. In MLS play, Halbouni made two starts in three appearances. In addition, Halbouni made four starts for Whitecaps FC 2 in MLS NEXT Pro.
1.FC MAGDEBURG
'22-'24: Prior to joining Vancouver, Halbouni played two seasons as member of German side 1.FC Magdeburg. The product of London, Ontario started all eight of his appearances across all competitions for 1.FC Magdeburg II, posting a 7W-1L-0D record in his starts and scoring once.
SV WERDER BREMEN II
'19-'22: Halbouni’s first stint in Germany came with SV Werder Bremen II, where he started 27 of his 28 appearances across all competitions and helped the side record 11 clean sheets. In addition, the defender recorded three goals, as well as two assists, and wore the captain’s armband in seven matches for the second team.
FC LONDON
'17-'19: Prior to making the move to Germany, Halbouni played for League1 Ontario outfit FC London from 2017 to 2019. During that time, the Canadian-Syrian also spent the 2018 season with the Western Mustangs at Western University.
INTERNATIONAL
At the international level, Halbouni has made one appearance for Syria’s men’s national team, which came in a friendly against Jordan in September 2022. He was first called up to Canada’s men’s national team for a camp in Bradenton, Florida back in January 2021.
