A great crowd at Swangard Stadium took in an enjoyable 1-1 draw between Whitecaps FC U-23 and FC Tigers Vancouver on Sunday.
The Tigers went up 1-0 early on, but a cross from Ali Ahmed in the 28th minute was finished by Nicolas Apostol to make it 1-1 in the first half. Not long before halftime a red card was shown to put the 'Caps down to 10 men for the remainder of the match.
The young 'Caps played valiantly despite the man disadvantage, and even had several opportunities at finding a winner. Jay Herdman had two good looks, one saved and one denied by the post, while Elage Bah looked to have scored a winner late in the second half before it was ruled offside.
