VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC will host York United FC in the semifinals of the Canadian Championship on Wednesday, June 22 at BC Place. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT.
Tickets for all Canadian Championship matches are included in season ticket memberships and will be added to each member's account manager next week.
Single match tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m. PT at ticketmaster.ca/whitecaps.
Whitecaps FC are seeking their second Voyageurs Cup title after claiming the 2015 Canadian Championship.
Both teams punched their tickets to the semifinals with dramatic shootout wins on the road. The 'Caps came back to down Cavalry FC, while York United FC earned their first semifinal appearance after beating Pacific FC.
York United FC are coached by former Whitecaps FC captain Martin Nash. The team also features familiar faces in former Whitecaps FC BMO Academy graduate Noah Verhoeven, former Whitecaps FC 2 centre back Dominick Zator, and recent short term MLS loanee goalkeeper Nikolaos Giantsopoulos.
The winner of the Whitecaps FC versus York United FC semifinal will host the 2022 Canadian Championship Final. They will play the winner of the other semifinal between Toronto FC and CF Montréal at BMO Field.
