VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Tuesday that the club is set to face Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC in a preseason friendly before concluding their preseason camp in Marbella, Spain.
The friendly will be played on Saturday, January 21 at the Marbella Football Center, with kickoff set for 7 a.m. PT / 4 p.m. local.

Following the match, the ‘Caps will return to Vancouver on January 22 and train at the Whitecaps FC National Soccer Development Centre from January 25 to 28 before departing for the second phase of their preseason in Southern California. Vancouver is set to play five preseason matches over three weeks against MLS opposition at the 2023 Coachella Valley Invitational.
The ‘Caps will then kick off the 2023 MLS regular season in front of their home fans at BC Place, hosting fellow Western Conference side Real Salt Lake on Saturday, February 25.
