The Canadian Soccer Associaton announced on Wednesday that Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency defender
Terrell Smith
and midfielder
Noah Verhoeven
have been named among a group of 18 players who will gather at a Canada’s men’s U-15 team camp in Costa Rica. The camp will take place from September 18 to 26 for a week of training with coaches – and former Canadian Internationals – Ante Jazic and Paul Stalteri.
This national youth camp for players born in or after 1999 gets underway on Friday, September 19 with the players arriving the day before. As part of the full week of training, the team will also test their progress in a pair of exhibition matches against Costa Rica’s U-15/U-16 team on Monday, September 22 and Thursday, September 25.
Academy programs from all three Canadian MLS clubs are represented.
