Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that the club has released 2011 Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft picks Joe Anderson and Santiago Bedoya, as well as Cody Arnoux.
Anderson, 24, and Bedoya, 22, move on from Whitecaps FC after appearing in the early stages of preseason training. Coastal Carolina University midfielder Anderson was Vancouver’s second-round pick (19th overall) in last month's Supplemental Draft, while Northeastern University defender Bedoya was selected in the third round (37th overall).
Arnoux, 22, leaves Vancouver after a brief spell with Whitecaps FC in 2010. The former Wake Forest University striker started seven of 10 appearances in USSF D-2 for 504 minutes of action, scoring one goal in the process.
