VANCOUVER, BC - Whitecaps FC announced on Saturday that five players from their Major League Soccer side have been loaned to Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) ahead of the inaugural United Soccer League match for WFC2.
Whitecaps FC keeper Paolo Tornaghi, defenders Tim Parker, Ethen Sampson, midfielder Ben McKendry, as well as striker Caleb Clarke will all be available for WFC2 as they kickoff their season against Cascadia rivals Seattle Sounders FC 2 (S2) on Sunday, March 29, at Starfire Sports Complex (4 p.m. PT kickoff - watch live on whitecapsfc2.com).
Players on loan to USL may compete for both the USL and MLS sides over the course of the season, and will be made available to USL on a week-to-week basis.
