With just over a month left until first kick, the soccer buzz is building around Vancouver. While the ‘Caps get warmed up with preseason matches in Arizona, Vancouverites can get back into the action by tuning in daily to TEAM 1410's Whitecaps FC Daily.
After a brief holiday hiatus, the only daily soccer show in Vancouver returns starting Monday, February 4, 2013.
Host Peter Schaad (@PeteSchaad) and producer Tyler Green (@TylerGreenFC) work tirelessly to bring fans the most up-to-date news and inside scoop on Whitecaps FC, MLS, and the rest of the soccer world every weekday, from Monday to Friday.
As we race closer to the 2013 season, the crew at WFC Daily plan to be back with a vengeance. “We have a number of special shows being planned,” said Tyler Green, Whitecaps FC Daily producer. “This will be a year to remember on the show.”
This coming Monday’s season premier show will kick off in style as ‘Caps head coach Martin Rennie steps in to provide some insight into preseason.
It will be a big week for Schaad, as he has been named a finalist for the Paul Carson Broadcast & Media Awards, as the top play-by-play man in the city. Former TEAM radio colleague and current Sportsnet commentator Paul Dolan is also a finalist in the colour commentator category. The winners will be announced next Thursday, February 7.
