- Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that the club will play LA Galaxy during a second trip as part of preseason training camp.
Following a January trip to Honolulu, Hawaii to
play in the Pacific Rim Cup
, Whitecaps FC will continue their preseason by travelling to Southern California, where the 'Caps will hold a camp from February 15 to 23. The 'Caps open their trip in Los Angeles with a match against Western Conference rival LA Galaxy at Orange County Great Park at 5 p.m. PT on February 16.
Additional preseason matches in Hawaii and California will be confirmed at a later date.
Prior to the start of camp, Whitecaps FC technical staff will be in Orlando, Florida for the adidas MLS Player Combine from January 3 to 9 ahead of the first two rounds of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft on Friday, January 11 in Chicago, Illinois. Vancouver currently holds the 26th overall pick in the second round.
Whitecaps FC open the 2019 MLS season against Minnesota United FC on March 2 at BC Place (3 p.m. PT kickoff).
