Froese, 18, will be added to the active roster effective immediately and will be eligible to play during the remainder of the 2014 MLS season. “Since I was little, I always said that I wanted to be a professional soccer player,” said Froese. “Today, finally I’m achieving that dream. I am thankful to my family, friends, and all of my coaches who have supported me the whole way through.”

Since joining the Residency program in 2012, Froese has started 40 of his 46 appearances and scored 15 goals for Whitecaps FC U-18 in the USSDA. With Whitecaps FC U-23 in the USL PDL, Froese has started 10 of his 15 appearances and scored five goals.
