WFC2 sign Canadian forward Myles Morgan

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday that the club has signed Canadian forward Myles Morgan to a professional contract with Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) through 2024, with a WFC2 option for 2025.

“Myles is a young player who has done well since joining us on trial in April and we look forward to working with him as he continues his development,” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director.

Morgan, 18, has made six appearances in MLS NEXT Pro with WFC2 this season as an amateur player, including two starts.

The native of Toronto, Ontario previously played with Toronto FC II, scoring two goals in nine appearances and four starts during the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season. Prior to signing with TFC II in June 2023, Morgan first joined the Toronto FC Academy in January 2022 and played with DeRo TFC Academy from 2018 to 2022.

At the international level, Morgan has recently represented Canada at the U-20 national team level. The young striker stood out with four goals in only two matches at 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship qualifying.

TRANSACTION: On May 31, 2024, Whitecaps FC sign forward Myles Morgan to an MLS NEXT Pro contract with Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) through 2024, with a WFC2 option for 2025.
