VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC learned their Leagues Cup 2024 Group Stage Schedule on Thursday, as they get set to take on Los Angeles FC and Club Tijuana in West Group 7 this summer.
Whitecaps FC will begin the tournament on Tuesday, July 30 as they head on the road to face Western Conference rivals LAFC at BMO Stadium. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. PT.
The ‘Caps will then return home for their second group match as they host Club Tijuana on Saturday, August 3 at BC Place at 7 p.m. PT. Tickets are included for all Whitecaps FC season members. Single match tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 4. Club Tijuana were founded in 2007 and won the 2012 Liga MX Apertura championship. Currently, Los Xolos are in 16th in the Liga MX 2024 Clausura.
The third West Group 7 match will see LAFC hosting Tijuana at BMO Stadium on Friday, July 26. The complete Leagues Cup 2024 Group Stage schedule can be found **HERE**.
The top two teams from West Group 7 will advance to the single-elimination knockout rounds, beginning with the Round of 32 from August 7-9 (16 matches), followed by the Round of 16 from August 12-13 (eight matches). The eight advancing teams will compete in the Leagues Cup quarterfinals on August 16-17 (four matches) before the two semifinal matches on August 20 or 21. The Leagues Cup 2024 Final and the Third-place match will be played on Saturday, August 25.
Leagues Cup 2024 will determine three qualifiers for the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the winner of Concacaf Champions Cup representing the region at the FIFA Club World Cup.
In their inaugural Leagues Cup in 2023, Whitecaps FC advanced from West Group 3 after facing Club Leon and Los Angeles Galaxy, before falling in a shootout to UANL Tigres in the Round of 32.
