Kendall Waston has been voted the Whitecaps FC Player of the Month for October, presented by Coldwell Banker, after earning 49 per cent of the votes in a poll conducted on Twitter this week.
Waston appeared in four matches for Vancouver during the month of October.
The 6-foot-5 centre back recorded two goals and one assist and helped Whitecaps FC keep back-to-back clean sheets in their first two playoff matches. He also led the team with 44 clearances and nine blocks over the course of the month.
YOUTH PLAYER OF THE MONTH, PRESENTED BY COLDWELL BANKER
The Whitecaps FC Youth Player of the Month is U-17 right back T-boy Fayia.
The Edmonton, Alberta product has started all seven of Vancouver’s matches in the 2017-18 Development Academy season thus far, helping the ‘Caps U-17s to a 5W-1L-1D record.
“T-boy was in fantastic form at the back end of last season, but he has arguably been our most improved and consistent player since the start of this season,” said Whitecaps FC U-17 Residency head coach Adam Day. “His form in the last month has been extremely pleasing to see. He is dominating in both his offensive and defensive duels, and is a major part of our team’s success over recent weeks. This is a well-deserved accolade for him.”
