There weren't as many MLS games as a usual in the month of June, due to the World Cup break, but there were enough see a few players shine. One of them was Vancouver Whitecaps FC Designated Player Pedro Morales, who picked up three goals and two assists in four matches.

Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month (June 2014)
June 2014 Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month nominees:
Deshorn Brown, Colorado Rapids. The Rapids made a move in the West in June -- going 2-1-1 in the month -- and the return to form of Brown was a major factor in their success. The Jamaican speedster played in all four matches, and struck three goals.
Eric Kronberg, Sporting Kansas City: In the absence of several important field players, SKC's goalkeeper stepped it up in June, posting two clean sheets as SKC earned two straight wins and climbed up into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference. Kronberg now leads MLS with seven shutouts.
Jack McInerney, Montreal Impact. Since moving to Montreal in May, JackMac has found his scoring touch, notching six goals. Three of them came in three matches in June -- a win, a loss, and a draw -- including his circus shot this past weekend in a 3-0 victory over Houston.
Pedro Morales, Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The Caps didn't have a blazing month -- one win, one loss, two draws -- but Morales did. The Chilean hit three goals and added two assists in the four matches. Sure, all three goals came from the penalty spot, but he was the attacking centrifuge in every game and will probabaly prove the the difference between the Caps' making or missing the playoffs.
Erick Torres, Chivas USA. Don't look now, but "Cubo" is making a push in the Budweiser Golden Boot race. He's currently third in the league in goals, two behind leader Bradley Wright-Phillips (NY). Oh, and the Goats went undefeated in their two matches in the month.
