VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC scored a club-record 78 goals across all competitions in 2023. But only one can be crowned the Goal of the Year.
Over the next week, the 'Caps will be announcing the 2023 Goal of the Year nominees on the club's social media channels.
A top four will be selected from a batch of eight goals, which will be pitted against each other in 1v1 match-ups for the first round of voting. Once the top four have been decided, fans will pick this year's Goal of the Year winner in the second round of voting.
The club has already announced the opening match-up in the first round of voting, which sees Pedro Vite's spectacular volley against Tigres UANL in Leagues Cup action go up against Ryan Raposo's low drive to the near-post in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions League quarterfinal against Real C.D. España.

- Monday, November 27 - Pedro Vite against Tigres UANL vs. Ryan Raposo against Real C.D. España
- Tuesday, November 28 - ??? vs. ???
- Wednesday, November 29 - ??? vs. ???
- Thursday, November 30 - ??? vs. ???
- Monday, December 4 - Top Four announced, voting for Goal of the Year opens
