VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC midfielder Pedro Vite and captain Ryan Gauld have been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following their performances in the club's 1-0 win at Austin FC in Matchday 30.
Vite, who will be off to represent Ecuador, earns his first selection of the season after scoring the winning goal with a stunning strike in the second half.
Gauld is now up to nine selections to the MLS Team of the Matchday after assisting Vite on the winning goal, while also having an exceptional strike of his own called back in the first half.
Nine different Whitecaps FC players have now been selected to the MLS Team of the Matchday this season.
