Red Bull Arena certainly wasn't short of talking points following Vancouver Whitecaps FC's dramatic 2-1 victory over a New York side that had to play 80 minutes of the match with 10 men.
Sacha Kljestan's early sending off, Kekuta Manneh's first back-to-back game with a goal to give Vancouver the lead, and Whitecaps FC Homegrown player Kianz Froese's match winner could all have stolen the headlines on their own.
Instead, the decisive, game-changing moments of the match fell on the shoulders of two men - New York striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and Vancouver goalkeeper David Ousted.
Twice, referee Jorge Gonzalez gave the Red Bulls a penalty and twice Ousted came up with huge saves to keep the 2014 MLS Golden Boot winner Wright-Phillips at bay.
"He gave me a top-quality performance," 'Caps coach Carl Robinson said of Ousted's display to New York's MSG Network after the game. "When you get two penalties given against you, you need your 'keeper to come up big and he didn't do it just once, he did it twice. Credit to Bradley stepping up twice, but unfortunately it was not his night, it was my goalkeeper's."
Ousted had never managed to stop a penalty for Whitecaps FC in eight previous attempts, but his two saves against New York saw the Dane become the third goalkeeper in MLS history to save two spot kicks in one match, while Wright-Phillips became the first player to miss two.
It was also the first time in his entire footballing career that Ousted had saved two penalties in a game, but the 'Caps captain on the night felt that the real credit for his heroics lay not with him, but with the club's video team back home.
"A lot of credit goes out to our video guys back in Vancouver," Ousted told TSN 1410 radio. "They do all the video work and give me all the penalties of the other team we're going to face. It helps me get ready and it helps me analyze what we're up against."

"You do the analysis before the games and you look for the little tells when you're standing and looking at him. Luckily I read it right today and I got the saves."
The first penalty came just four minutes in with the game still scoreless. The second came just past the hour mark with the 10-men Red Bulls trailing by a goal.
Both saves deflated the home side when they were on the verge of shifting the game's momentum and helped Whitecaps FC stay undefeated against New York in MLS play. And Ousted just keeps adding to his series of outstanding match-winning displays for the 'Caps this season.
"I try to help the team as much as I can every time we play," Ousted added. "I set high standards for myself and try and win as many points as I can for the team. It's down to the hard work, it's down to setting the bar high and trying to reach that every time. So far this year it's going well."
